A HIGH-SCHOOL girl has been arrested for gradually poisoning
her mother to the brink of death and keeping a blog of her progress
-- all done as a grim homage to a British serial killer whom she
idolised. Over the summer the 16-year-old student is alleged to
have laced her mother's food with increasing doses of thallium,
a potent rat poison. Her mother is now critically ill and in a coma.
In further emulation of her deranged hero, who poisoned numerous
family members and work colleagues and died in Parkhurst after nine
years in Broadmoor, the Japanese girl recorded her mother's horrific
daily sufferings in a matter-of-fact internet diary. "It's a bright,
sunny day today, and I administered a delivery of acetic thallium,"
the girl wrote in August. Two weeks before her 47-year-old mother
slipped into a coma, the girl wrote: "Today mother has deteriorated.
The girl goes on to report her mother's hallucinations and other
agonies, before criticising her inadequate ...
Write a cute poem or saying at the bottom. But every day
I'm growing I'll be grown someday and all those tiny hand prints
will surely fade away Make a Card Have pre-written poems for the
children to glue on their Card, let the children choose the poem
they like the best. Let the children write a poem for the inside.
The old game, mother may I take three little steps forward? Replace
mother with other family members. The children help prepare a dinner
for Mom on the Friday before Mother's Day. 1 cook free day is enough
to make a mom smile. Each time a child guesses which is the mommy
to their card they say "Are you my Mother" and if the card is not
the mother the child and other children can say "you are not my
mother"

This Order was started in Calcutta by Mother Teresa, and
has two branches in Bangalore which takes care of the destitute,
abandoned and dying of all Castes and Religions. They reach out
to the poorest of poor, and take the old people and children into
their premises and look after them with the Love of the Lord, bathing
their wounds and helping those who are dying to die with dignity
and surrounded by the Love of the Lord. Mother Teresa expired on
5th September, Friday 1997 in Calcutta, incidently, this was also
the day of Lady Diana's funeral in England. She did not have to
speak much, she just sat and looked, a look of such mild intense
Love that comes from within, she had empathy for every Living Being,
and wanted to reach out for every Soul in distress, and looking
at her was enough to know that the Lord was abiding in her as she
was filled with His Love, and you could draw on that Love by just
looking at her. The previous day the place was flooded, but on this

Mother Jones's low, pleasant voice had great carrying power.
It was unusual because it "did not become shrill when she became
excited but, rather, dropped in pitch so that 'the intensity of
it became something you could almost feel physically.' When she
rose to speak, Mother Jones 'seemed to explode in all directions'
. . . and suddenly everyone sat up alert and listened. Mother Jones
was proud of that title and said she hoped to live to be the great
grandmother of agitators. Mother Jones, born in Cork, Ireland, on
May 1, 1830, came from a long line of agitators. Jones's biographer
Dale Fetherling claims that Mother Jones learned a great deal about
unions and about the psychology of workingmen from her husband.
And later, when much of her work was with women, she tried to pass
on to them what she had learned: "That is, the wife must care for
what the husband cares for if he is to remain resolute." But tragedy
followed Mother Jones. One biographer believes that Mother Jones's

Goose Rhymes - This Web site is a result of a culminating activity
after a study of Nursery Rhymes. Art work projects included making
humpty dumpty mobiles, cotton ball lambs, decorated mittens and
bright aluminum stars. The children also drew pictures to accompany
their favorite Nursery Rhymes. Mother Goose Society - The Mother
Goose Society was founded in 1987 to encourage a love for the warm
tradition of Mother Goose rhymes and Mother Goose's comforting embrace
and to promote the annual celebration of Mother Goose Day (May 1st).

Fundamentalists are sometimes horrified when the Virgin Mary
is referred to as the Mother of God. A woman is a man's mother either
if she carried him in her womb or if she was the woman contributing
half of his genetic matter or both. Mary was the mother of Jesus
in both of these senses; because she not only carried Jesus in her
womb but also supplied all of the genetic matter for his human body,
since it was through her--not Joseph--that Jesus "was descended
from David according to the flesh" (Rom. Since Mary is Jesus' mother,
it must be concluded that she is also the Mother of God: If Mary
is the mother of Jesus, and if Jesus is God, then Mary is the Mother
of God. Although Mary is the Mother of God, she is not his mother
in the sense that she is older than God or the source of her Son's
divinity, for she is neither. Since denying that Mary is God's mother
implies doubt about Jesus' divinity, it is clear why Christians
(until recent times) have been unanimous ...
About 90 percent contracted the virus from their mothers
during pregnancy or birth. A 1994 government study showed that drug
treatment during pregnancy greatly reduces the risk that an HIV-infected
mother will pass the virus to her baby. Since then, the number of
babies who contract the virus from their mothers has dropped dramatically.
Between 1992 and 1999, the number of children reported to the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with HIV infection contracted
from their mothers declined 83 percent. However, between 280 and
370 infants per year in the United States still contract HIV from
their mothers. In 2002, the CDC recommended that all pregnant women
be offered voluntary testing for HIV as a routine part of prenatal
care. New treatments available in the United States and in other
developed countries can now reduce to 2 percent or less the risk
of a treated mother passing HIV to her baby. What treatment helps
prevent HIV/AIDS in babies of ...
Peter McCluskey, CBC News Online It is right to pause and
reflect on the life of this grand lady. Although she never wrote
a symphony or built a cathedral, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother
will be mourned. The Queen Mother's death came six weeks after the
funeral of her daughter, Princess Margaret. The event, of course,
was the abdication of King Edward VIII, the man who rejected the
crown over the love of a divorced American named Wallis Simpson.
On the day she turned 14 the First World War began. Her mother assumed
the title of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, to avoid confusion.
But never would the public see the strain on the face of the Queen
Mother, nor would her popularity ever flag. "I would say that my
mother has much to say to me," said the present Queen.

International Mother Language Day was proclaimed by UNESCO's
General Conference in November 1999. The International Day has been
observed every year since February 2000 to promote linguistic and
cultural diversity and multilingualism. Languages are the most powerful
instruments of preserving and developing our tangible and intangible
heritage. All moves to promote the dissemination of mother tongues
will serve not only to encourage linguistic diversity and multilingual
education but also to develop fuller awareness of linguistic and
cultural traditions throughout the world and to inspire solidarity
based on understanding, tolerance and dialogue. International Mother
Language Day 2005 will be devoted to braille and sign languages
